Bio.design and DHL GoGreen Plus: Beach Pools and Sustainable Logistics

Sustainability is not just a design choice for us: it is a responsibility that extends across every stage of our work, from the design and construction of Bio.design beach pools to logistics and transportation.

We are proud to have received the DHL GoGreen Plus Certificate 2025, recognizing Bio.design’s tangible contribution to reducing emissions associated with international shipping.

Throughout 2025, thanks to the DHL GoGreen Plus program, Bio.design contributed to a certified reduction of 409.88 kg of CO₂e (-17.36%) compared to conventional transport standards. This achievement was made possible through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), a renewable fuel produced from sustainable sources and currently considered one of the most effective solutions for decarbonizing air transport.

The program also enabled the use of more than 119 kg of SAF, with a sustainable fuel share of 19.22%, applied across more than 2,244 tonne-kilometres (tkm) of international air freight transport.

Through this collaboration, Bio.design actively contributes to the reduction of Scope 3 emissions, namely those generated indirectly throughout the company’s value chain. This commitment is part of a broader vision of environmental sustainability that has always been an integral part of the Bio.design philosophy and our certified technology.

Our beach pools are designed to create a harmonious dialogue between architecture, landscape, and natural well-being. We believe that innovation and environmental responsibility must go hand in hand, both in the final product and in the processes that make it possible.

Receiving the GoGreen Plus Certificate is therefore a significant recognition, as well as an additional incentive to continue along a path of responsible growth focused on a more sustainable future.
